I mean that young people read less books and don`t know our writers unspeaking about foreign ones. I still can`t find Lem`s Ukrainian translation( you come to a book shop and ask for Ivan Bahrianyi and hear something like:"What?") . Demand gives rise to the offer as you know.

As for tv. Those who think that it is for free are wrong. You pay for it watching commercial, news where the state reminds you your place in the society and how you should react. Clever guys invented a thing called DVD, which helps to watch what you want without any commercial, with normal sound.

  Half Life is so archaic that almost nobody remembers the plot. I guess that all authors who deal with SF could have probably read at least Solaris. It is naturally that we find something common with Mr. Lem`s works, even feel pride saying where we saw some of the episodes. It would be cool if someone screened normally Futurological Congress... It`s my third favourite Lem`s book after Solaris and Cyberiad. It is sad to learn that todays youth reads less or even reads not at all.Knowing not Ukrainian untalking about Polish writers.

Best regards from Japanese bot, though I`m more likely to be a Ukrainian one (Zlatan is right in a way, there`s really something Japanese in my appearance especially on Monday morning).To my mind even Mr. Lem didn`t believe entirely those guys from NASA(though not in case with the Moon)- Futurological Congress is a proof .I am a sceptic and don`t believe in fables and I have the right to doubt and annoy the dudes like you.

Simply because Japan doesn't exist!

He nobody will fly to Mars to check for some exploration equipment that was sent before.In case with Moon it is easier to make fakes.

There was a time when each word had its value,especially when it was written.Years passed and literate people appeared though it doesn`t mean that all of them were wise.Nowadays aech of us writes and speaks,so loud and much that ones worth it aren`t heard.So far we can imagine a genius from Lem`s works who writes a book for ones like he or nobody.

Очень жаль что вылетела русская секция.В ней все таки было что-то стоящее.Например некоторые работы мистера Лема из-за которых я отчаянно бороздю просторы интернета.Я предлагаю всем желающим помещать здесь любимые рассказы автора.

  Does it really matter what STP stands for.The other thing is Terminus a robot with some disorder which doesnt bother him to mend the reactor and of course Pirx who was shocked by the mysterious messages of the dead spacemen trying to find the source.
 Did anybody feel pity for the robot?

I am not one who can agree with this saying.Like a star which disappeared and shines a long time after its collapse  so we shall take Stanislaw Lem.Geniuses never die they immortalize themselves in their works.

 Even after his death he`s got a lot of things to say.
 All Lem fans take my condolences.

   So the previous argument was that Mr.Lem is not an inventor and stands apart from science and is limited by having friends keen on phisics.It didn`t bother him to write "Solaris".
  Clarke`s ''Rendezvous with Rama''unlooking at the fact that some laws of phisics were broken is not a trash and is still quite readable in Ukraine.Though apart from S.Lem Clarke is closer to science and phisics and in some sources is regarded a man who suggested the idea that geostationary satellites would be ideal telecommunications relays.

  I don`t agree, read H.Harrison or P.Dick and yo will see that Lem`s books are more or less scientific and futuristic.
 What do you think about works of Arthur Clarke are they actually scientific.

Yes,tourism is a solution.People enjoy watching some ruins.Egyptian pyramids is a prove.
As  I know there exist some tours  to Chornobyul for inquisitive foreigners.And does it matter if radioactivity harms your health?
