Dear All:
I am searching for a tale of Ijon Tichy, that I read some time ago on a portuguese edition of "Travels and Memories".  The plot of the story is about some guys building a new supercomputer supposedly to "cast spells" in some african country. This tale is not included in any of the Spanish Editions of the Ijon Tichy tales I have read. I would like to know when this tale was published and if is it translated to English.

Could it be "Prof. A Donda"?  From what I remember, it had a few things to do with Africa.  As well, M Kandel, who translated the book to english, had missed that entire chapter (at least I'm under that impression).  Great story too.

I read it in a German version.
Its with an professor, maybe Donda, and in the end, all computers and digitaled knowledge is cleared out.
Because knowledge has a weight.
